A brasserie fit for  fifth avenue.

For more than a decade, Brasserie Cognac has poured a glass of Paris into the heart of New York. Its newest chapter, Brasserie Cognac Américain, carries that tradition a few blocks south.

A sister to the original Brasserie Cognac and to Serafina, Cognac Américain is the work of restaurateurs Fabio Granato and Vittorio Assaf and chef Michael Lomonaco.

Here, in the company of Bryant Park, the Library, Grand Central, and the Empire State Building, we offer the brasserie as it has always been imagined — convivial, unhurried, generous — and as it might be reimagined for the city we call home: a little bolder, a little more American at the edges, and entirely its own.
